  Angela is an experienced attorney in the areas of trade marks, domain name disputes, patents and designs. Angela manages a number of international intellectual property (IP) portfolios; represents the owners of a number of well known brands; and assists her clients to identify, protect, manage and enforce their IP rights, limit their risks and implement effective IP strategies.

  She has managed high profile cases, receiving media attention, and successful oppositions in countries around the world.

  Angela is actively engaged in the business, innovation and creative industries communities, works on a number of committees and receives invitations to give seminars on IP topics and contribute articles.

  She gained valuable commercial experience as a company director, including in respect of contract negotiation, IP management, sponsorships and marketing and pursues a wide range of interests including studies leading to a certificate in fine art.

  • ALDI Stores’ successful opposition to registration in Australia of the shape of Nestle’s 4-bar KIT KAT product as a trade mark in Australia [Aldi Stores v. Societe Produits Nestle SA [2008] ATMO 76 (20 August 2008)] which decision has been reported on in the press and the subject of articles by intellectual property professionals
  • The Billabong Group’s successful complaint under the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) in respect of the disputed domain name billabongirls.com, which was transferred to the Billabong Group [WIPO Case No. D2008-0101]
